Book 1: Mark of the Dragon
Rosario Hernandez doesn’t ask for much. She’d like to sleep on a bed instead of a sidewalk, to know where her next meal is coming from, and maybe, if she’s really feeling optimistic, to get a girlfriend. More than anything, though, she wants her best friend Arkay to not murder anyone— because Arkay is a dragon, claws and all, and she has a penchant for vigilante justice.
When Arkay’s latest escapade goes sour, Rosario gets stuck with a stolen van and a cooler full of human organs. Now they’re on the run, and it’s not just the cops who want answers. The owner of the cooler is still out there, and they want to replace what they’ve lost— by any means necessary.
Book 2: Shadow and Steel
Just when Arkay and Rosario are finally moving forward with their lives, an old friend begs them to come back to where they started. Homeless people are disappearing into the ruins of an abandoned factory, lured by something supernatural. It’s up to Rosario to tame it— or Arkay to kill it— before it takes another victim. But evil lurks in every shadow, and they soon discover that they’re not the only ones hunting the beast.
Book 3: Dance with the Devil
Things are going well for our heroes. Rosario has a loving girlfriend and a caseworker who can help her cope with a world full of monsters, and Arkay is getting the attention she craves working as a stripper. But when a new drug dealer tries to turn Arkay’s club into a front for his business, Arkay steps up to defend what’s hers— and in doing so, she threatens to destroy everything that Rosario has worked to create.
